So what's this all about

fOk, one thing I am noticing is that when you are entering a new post you don't see all of the old posts, or pictures or anything.  You are totally in the editing section....

Not sure how I feel about this.  Actually not that sure how important something like this is....

Ok.  How about the features... ffffffffffff fff fff whoa, here is a bug...

fffff.  So its kind of buggy. how nice...

Anyway, the fact that its buggy, and really - for what - is nice to know.

  • Should we even offer these features?  It certainly makes things a hell of a lot more difficult....
  • Wow - you can just insert bullet points.  We certainly don't need these, though it would be worth investing developer time to figure out how to do something like this....

It works alot, ALOT like a wordprocessor.  I wonder how the hell they do this.....

Holy crap.  Thats pretty interesting... ...and when you think about it makes total sense.  Actually a very nice solution.  One we may want to consider using......

We could limit the subset of features that we allow the user to have... and then set up our layout manager to interpret the html.

Thats kind of crappy though, don't you think?  Because people have been saying for a long time now that HTML is not a layout language - and its been used as one.  Well, actually when I really think about it we wouldn't be using HTML for layout, but rather for text formatting.  This may end up being acceptable after all.... something to think about at least.

See how the folks at writely are doing it.....

Aha - I see.  They use HTML.  So right now I am actually writing HTML...

Hey Claudia,

Check out my blog.  I signed up on typepad.com for free.  Maybe we could use this to get ideas for littlechapters journal interface.  What do you think?
